Deadlines and Policies

Camp registration brochures were mailed out to all members on January 25, 2008.  If you did not receive this mailing, you may download and print the brochure here and return it to AuSM to get into the Camp lottery.  To be eligible for the lottery, you must be a current member of the Autism Society of MN, and your registration and non-refundable deposit must be postmarked by the registration deadline.  AuSM cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed mail.

Please note that all references pertaining to lottery information only apply to Camp Hand in Hand and Camp Discovery.  Wilderness Inquiry and Wahode Day Camp do not run on a lottery system and are filled on a first come, first served basis.

  3. Camp Hand in Hand & Camp Discovery Residential Camps:  Campers whose completed registration form and non-refundable deposit are received by AuSM, postmarked by Saturday, February 16, 2008, will be eligible for the 2008 camp lottery.  If a camper does not get into camp through the 2008 lottery, their deposit will be returned.  They will then become eligible for the 2009 camp lottery exemption, pending the AuSM receipt of the completed registration form and deposit by the 2009 deadline date.

camps, which are filled on a first come, first served basis.

Cancellation Policy

  1. If a camp is cancelled due to insufficient numbers of campers, all camp fees and registration deposit will be refunded.
  2. If the camper cancels more than 30 days before the start of camp, all camp fees will be refunded, less the non-refundable registration deposit.
  3. If the camper cancels 30 days or less before the start of camp, neither camp fees nor registration deposit will be refunded.
  4. If the parent/guardian/camper chooses to leave camp or not attend camp on their own volition as of the camp start date, neither camp fees nor deposit will be refunded.

Camp Registration Deposit

  1. The camp registration deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE for all campers upon receipt at AuSM.
  2. The registration deposit will be refunded after the lottery to those campers not accepted into camp.
