Established in 1971, the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to education, advocacy and support designed to enhance the lives of those affected by autism from birth through retirement.

Donations to support AuSM's mission can come in many forms. Below are some possiblitites:

Shop through Amazon Smile
AmazonSmileShop and support AuSM at the same time through the Amazon Smile Program. Click here to choose AuSM as your preferred charity and shop as usual. A percentage of your purchases will be given to AuSM to support programs and services for the Minnesota autism community.

Company Matching Gifts
Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. A matching gift program could double your donation, as many companies with these programs offer a one to one match. Talk to your human resources department to determine whether or not your company offers a matching gift program.

Donate Stock and Save
Those who have stocks and mutual funds that have risen sharply in value often are encouraged by financial advisors to donate shares directly to charities. The charity then gets the full value of the investments and can sell them without paying taxes. Donors can deduct the full amount, getting more value from the donation than if they sold the investment themselves and paid taxes on the gain. To donate stock to AuSM, please contact AuSM's accounting department at 651.647.1083 or e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. Weddings and Special Occasion Gifts
Gifts are given for weddings, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, retirement parties, and more. Share the joy of these festive occasions by donating your guests' contributions to the autism community in Minnesota. Their gifts will be given back to those touched by autism by building education programs and workshops; supporting therapy offerings; expanding summer camp offerings; and much more.

A couple of donation ideas: Save yourself some time and support individuals living with autism! Instead of traditional wedding favors, give a donation to support the Autism Society of Minnesota in your guests' name, or in honor or memory of a loved one. Tell your guests that your contribution will enhance the lives of those touched by autism in Minnesota. This thoughtful gift message can be conveyed through your wedding invitations, reception cards, table tents, scrolls, menus - however you feel it fits best in your celebration.
