In collaboration with AuSM, True Friends/Courage North offers this exciting trip, tailored to the needs of teenagers with autism. The program will begin with two days of preparation and team-building at Camp Courage North. Then, as they explore Itasca State Park and the surrounding Paul Bunyan State Forest, campers will have the opportunity to delve into special interests such as: animal tracking, plant identification, shelter building, outdoor cooking, history, or nature art. Campers should be able to tolerate 1-3 hours of moderate exercise at a time. Please apply for this program directly through True Friends/Courage North. Those registering for Headwaters Autism Adventure and new to AuSM will receive a complimentary year-long AuSM membership.
