Sartell Autism Workshop

LucasTeachSartellWEB2018Nearly 100 participants attended the Autism Supports, Strategies, and Resources Workshop held at the Sartell Community Center on Oct. 26. The event, co-presented by the Autism Society of Minnesota, Arc Midstate, Opportunity Matters, and WACOSA, featured topics including autism 101, executive function, mental illness, positive supports, behavior strategies, and life planning as well as a networking lunch where adults on the spectrum shared their insight on obtaining resources and seeking out needed support. Also in attendance were first responders, who learned from the sessions and connected with community members to share valuable insight on working together for positive interactions. Thank you to all who participated in and organized this workshop, including Voigt's who provided a generous grant to support the programming.
