Steps for Autism in Minnesota
Steps for Autism 2019 celebrates Minnesota autism community
Hundreds braved the subzero temperatures and participated in an amazing morning of autism community building and celebrating during Steps for Autism in Minnesota 2019 at Southdale Center on March 3. Thank you to our volunteers; emcee Shannan Paul; sponsors and resource table participants; AuSM Flash Dash presenter, Accra Care; Mudonna; Goldy Gopher; The Royal Sisterhood; and A Moment of Magic Foundation. Thanks, too, to the Autism Society of America's Lori Ireland who joined us for Steps for Autism. Ireland also presented AuSM with a surprise $5,000 donation from her foundation. We are so grateful for our donors, fundraisers, and supporters. The dedication and appreciation you show for this community is inspiring and beautiful! Because of you, AuSM continues to fulfill it's mission of enhancing the lives of those affected by autism. Minnesota is one AWESOME autism community!
For nearly half a century, the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) has helped families and individuals with autism build a community that acts without judgment, searches for new possibilities, and connects us to each other. Dollars raised through Steps for Autism fund valuable programs and services that allow people affected by autism to grow and thrive. AuSM needs you to join us on our quest to help the Minnesota autism community.
As demand for scholarships for camp, social skills classes, trainings, and other educational events has increased, a portion of dollars raised during Steps for Autism also will go back to the Minnesota autism community through AuSM scholarships. Click here to learn more about AuSM scholarships.
