Join us for our first full orchestra symphonic sensory-friendly concert, an engaging and interactive experience conducted by Akiko Fujimoto and featuring guest cellist Nygel Witherspoon. The Minnesota Orchestra's sensory-friendly small ensemble concerts are inclusive experiences for patrons of all ages and abilities, including individuals on the autism spectrum and those with sensory sensitivities. Lyndie Walker, MT-BC, of Toneworks Music Therapy Services hosts these concerts. From Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man to Stravinsky’s Firebird, Courage and Triumph is a concert you won’t want to miss. Come early for pre-concert activities, including opportunities to try orchestral instruments, engage in creative movement, participate in collaborative art-making, learn more about the program, and meet Minnesota Orchestra musicians. Cost: $12. Click here for more information and to order your tickets.

As with all of our story times, this is a no judgement zone! We all have unique needs and ways of expressing ourselves, and we at Wild Rumpus welcome and celebrate those differences. Cost: FREE. AMC is proud to partner with the Autism Society of America to offer unique movie showings where lights are turned up and the sound is turned down so viewers can get up, dance, walk, shout, or sing. The Sensory Friendly Film program is available on the second and fourth Saturday (family-friendly) and Tuesday evenings (mature audiences) of every month. In Minnesota, these showings are available at Eden Prairie Mall 18 and AMC Rosedale 14. Click here for specific showtimes and offerings.
