AuSM works on resources and activities to support you during pandemic

AuSM is working on ways for our community to come together safely over the coming months and are considering small group offerings as well as virtual gatherings.

As we work through these unprecedented days altered by the COVID-19/coronavirus pandemic, AuSM’s top priority has been to ensure the health and safety of our community.

When the stay at home order was released, AuSM responded with ways to meet our community where they are, including:

  • Focusing on continuity of mental health care through implementation of telehealth for therapy.
  • Continuing education and training through live-stream options.
  • Creating and collecting autism community-specific resources to help with pandemic guidance.
  • Monitoring state and federal legislative information while listening to and sharing the concerns of our community.
  • Sharing important content and resources provided at the annual state autism conference in a new, virtual format.

Though the Stay at Home order issued by Minnesota’s Governor Walz has been replaced by a new Stay Safe order, the majority of Autism Society of Minnesota staff will continue to work remotely and be accessible through e-mail and phone.

We also are working on ways for our community to come together safely over the coming months and are considering small group offerings as well as virtual gatherings. Please watch our website, social media, and your e-mail boxes for more information about these plans. We look forward to keeping connected with you!

AuSM continues to update our pandemic support resources web page. If you have specific support needs, we also encourage you to reach out to us. AuSM’s Information and Resources specialists are available to support you via phone 651.647.1083 and e-mail info@ausm.org.
