Summer programs open for application and registration

The 2021 AuSM Summer Recreation Catalog/AuSM’s Guide to Sensory-Friendly Minnesota is available online. The catalog includes information about AuSM’s residential camps, social skills classes, recreation programs, and other training and education opportunities. Printed copies of the catalog will be reaching mailboxes soon!

Application for the residential camps lottery process is open through March 8, and registration for all other spring and summer programs is open until classes fill.

RESIDENTIAL CAMPS

AuSM will be holding reduced-capacity, in-person residential sessions of Camp Discovery and Camp Hand in Hand this summer. Due to pandemic-related programming restrictions at Camp Butwin, AuSM’s Camp Wahode will not be held 2021.

SESSION 1 June 13-18, 2021 (all genders, ages 17+)

SESSION 2 June 20-25, 2021 (all genders, ages 10-16)

Camp Hand in Hand

SESSION 1 June 27-July 2, 2021 (all genders, ages 14-20)

SESSION 2 July 25-30, 2021 (all genders, ages 21+)

SOCIAL SKILLS CLASSES – SPRING AND SUMMER

In spring and summer 2021, AuSM will offer several recreation programs and social skills classes in the Twin Cities metro area and in Duluth. Some offerings are virtual; those that will be in-person will follow safety plans in accordance with CDC and MDH guidelines.

NEW! AuSM SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS

AuSM is offering four sessions of morning and afternoon recreation programs for youth and adults that will meet in person at a variety of community venues once per week for five weeks. Programming will engage participants in nature activities, museum and zoo visits, and other activities to foster learning, friendships, and fun.
