Understanding Autism Documentary Screening

March 17, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm $10 – $12

This new documentary by Scott Steindorff spotlights the perspective of autistic people themselves. In this insightful look at the complexity and variation of autistic people and their experiences, Mr. Steindorff interviews autistic children and adults, as well as researchers and professionals in the autism community, while he shares his own journey with autism. The film features Lionsgate Academy, a public charter school for autistic learners located in the Twin Cities Metro area. The film shines a light on the challenges facing autistic people, and explores promising approaches to neurodivergence that can build a world where autistics can be who they are and get the support they need and deserve.
