AuSM is gauging interest from autistic adults who would like to mentor autistic youth ages 14 - 22 through a potential partnership with the Autism Mentorship Program (AMP).
AMP pairs autistic youth, ages 14 – 22, with autistic adult mentors who meet online over Zoom in a structured, supported setting for one hour once a week to hang out and talk or play games, offering opportunities for participants to build meaningful connections with one another. Mentor/mentee matches are carefully made, based on shared interests, personality traits, personal preferences, and triggers to be avoided. If you have lived experience as an autistic person and like connecting with teens or young adults, you are likely a good mentor candidate. Self-diagnosed and non-speaking autistics are welcome to apply. Learn more about being an AMP mentor.
