Join AuSM’s Mission: Raise $15,000 in February to Support the Scholarship Fund

At AuSM, we believe that every autistic individual deserves access to opportunities that empower them to thrive—regardless of financial barriers. Our commitment to accessibility means ensuring that cost is never a hurdle for those who need our services most. This February, we’re launching a fundraising campaign to raise $15,000 to support AuSM’s Scholarship Fund, a vital resource that makes our life-changing programs accessible to all.

Why Scholarships Matter

Financial accessibility is just as important as creating welcoming, inclusive spaces. Many members of our community face financial challenges that prevent them from accessing critical services. AuSM’s Scholarship Fund helps bridge this gap, opening the door to programs that foster growth, connection, and independence. These scholarships provide financial support for:

  • Specialized Summer Camps for autistic youth and adults.
  • Educational Classes for individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Workshops, Conferences, and Community Events that build connections and provide critical resources.
  • Memberships that foster ongoing engagement and support.

Unfortunately, the need for scholarships continues to outpace the resources available. Your support can help us meet this growing demand and ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive.

Your Gift in Action

Ian’s Story: Growth and Joy at AuSM Summer Camp

For Ian, attending AuSM’s Summer Camp was more than a vacation—it was a transformative experience. Thanks to a scholarship, Ian participated in a camp tailored to his needs, where he made friends, explored new activities, and thrived in a supportive environment. Ian’s mother shares:

“Thank you very much for organizing the scholarship for my child. It was very useful and timely. He received maximum attention and care. He found new friends and still remembers with pleasure this wonderful vacation. Thanks to this, his development became a little better. It was a good, unforgettable experience.”

Ian’s story highlights the profound impact of scholarships, enabling children to build friendships, develop skills, and create lasting memories.

Dylan’s Story: A Lifeline Through AuSM’s Programs

For Dylan, AuSM’s Improv class has been a cornerstone of his social and personal growth. As someone on the autism spectrum, Dylan has faced challenges in building friendships and developing social skills. Through this program, he’s found a supportive community, made lasting connections, and gained critical skills for employment and independent living.

Dylan’s journey hasn’t been without obstacles. In 2022, he was diagnosed with cancer and underwent two surgeries and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Despite these challenges, Dylan stayed connected to the community he’d found at AuSM, even attending end-of-session performances to cheer on his friends.

His mother shares:

“These scholarships help young people like my son learn social skills that aid in employment, friendships, mental health, and becoming more well-rounded members of society. He couldn’t afford to continually take this class without scholarships, and we are so grateful for the generous donations to the program.”

Your generosity ensures that individuals like Dylan can continue to access programs that provide hope, connection, and a chance to thrive.
