Dr. Smith earned his earned his Doctoral Degree as a Clinical Psychologist from Wayne State University in 1988. He works with children ages 12 and older, adolescents and adults. Dr. Smith specializes in psychological testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, school accommodations, personality/psychiatric disorders and Social Security applications or appeals. In individual therapy he uses a Cognitive-Behavioral Skills Training and/or behavioral approach and works with people with various types of anxiety, depressive and adjustment disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities and ADHD. He works closely with parents, teachers, physicians and other providers. Dr. Smith is experienced in working with language interpreters and culturally diverse populations. He is a member of the Autism Society of Minnesota.
