AuSM’s Sept. 28 Puzzle Competition raising funds for MN autism community while exhibiting partners present resource fair for people affected by autism

Puzzle builders and autism community supporters will race the clock and each other at AuSM’s annual Jigsaw Puzzle Competition, a September 28th fundraiser at Mall of America to support the Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM).

Competing both in-person at MOA and virtually via Zoom, teams will help raise funds for AuSM by racing to complete 500-piece puzzles, with hundreds of participants working on puzzles and thousands of spectators cheering them on. Where: Mall of America’s Huntington Bank Rotunda, and virtual via Zoom

The general public is invited to gather information and visit with service providers at this event’s Resource Fair, adjacent in the Rotunda and co-hosted by several organizations serving the autism community, including: Accra; Autism Advocacy & Law Center; Behavior Frontiers; Best Care; Bhakti Brain Health Clinic; IBIS (Infant Brain Imaging Study; Looking Forward Life Coach; Minnesota Independence College & Community (MICC); Northway Academy; PICS – Partners in Community Supports; and St. David’s Center for Child & Familiy Development.

With a statewide prevalence rate of 1 in 34 diagnosed, autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in Minnesota. All funds raised through AuSM’s Jigsaw Puzzle Competition stay in Minnesota to support AuSM’s programs and services, including social and recreation programs for all ages, educational workshops, counseling and mental health services, advocacy for disability rights, summer camps for kids and autistic adults, and consulting with organizations and companies to gain a greater understanding of autism.

AuSM’s Jigsaw Puzzle Competition is also generously supported by PuzzleTwist, Games by James & AirTraffic, Mall of America, CyBick Productions, and Allegra Downtown St. Paul.
