Disclosing Autism at Work
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires covered employers to provide effective, reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities. Employers often use an interactive process to identify and implement reasonable accommodations. Unfortunately, implicit bias, discrimination, and misunderstandings can make disclosing your disability risky.
