Helping Autistic Minnesotans Make Friends: Lessons Learned from Hosting Events

Loneliness is a common concern in the life of an Autistic adult. One of the best ways to help reduce the feelings of loneliness that Autistic adults feel is for them to make connections with others, and from those connections makes friends. This has been the central goal of the Non-Profit, MNeurodivergent, for the last year. In this past year of hosting events for Autistic, and otherwise Neurodivergent Adults, the event organizers of this organization have gained a unique perspective on how to best help those that are autistic socialize and make connections. This presentation will go over recommendations for this.
