Rufo Jiru is the founder of Anole Sisters, an organization serving women in the Oromo diaspora in Minnesota. She is also a disability advocate and a board member of the Multicultural Autism Action Network. Her connection to the disability connection began when she served as an Oromo language interpreter for Oromo families navigating the special education process. She was one of the organizers of the Family Camp.
