Working with Culturally Diverse Families

Do you work with individuals, students, or families that frequently experience language or cultural barriers to autism supports and services? This session will explain the Autism Society’s recent partnered work with culturally specific experts and organizations, and its production of practical resources emerging for those in Somali-, Oromo-, South Asian- and Spanish-speaking families. Attendees can expect to see more than a dozen new, translated, frequently requested resources, and to review the cultural insights from the people who co-designed them in partnership with parents and advocates.
