Camp Akeela

Camp Akeela is a 2 week sleep-away camp (with options for 4- and 6-week programs) on the stunning Midwest campus of Lawrence University in central Wisconsin for kids in grades 3-12. Akeela provides a fun and engaging residential summer camp experience for children who need extra social support compared to their peers and often (although, not always) have a diagnosis of high-functioning autism or other non-verbal learning disabilities . While not a therapeutic camp, the dedicated and qualified staff work to incorporate social growth into every single activity throughout the campers time at camp. Program includes visual and performing arts, athletics, swimming, computer programming and more!
