Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services Education Law Advocacy Project

SMRLS’ Education Law Advocacy Project (ELAP) provides free and expert legal help for low-income students and parents within our service area in dealing with K-12 school-related issues such as:

*Special education services for students with disabilities
*Bullying and harassment
*School discipline (i.e., suspensions)
*Truancy
and more!

ELAP also regularly presents to parent and student groups on education rights and advocacy, and disseminates this information on social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook), newsletters, and free to download legal factsheets via SMR:S’ Education webpage.
