Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities

The Minnesota Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities (DD Council) provides information, education, and training to build knowledge, develop skills, and change attitudes that will lead to increased independence, productivity, self determination, integration and inclusion (IPSII) for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The DD Council is funded under provisions of the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (DD Act)( P.L. 106-402) and is composed of 25 Governor appointed members, including individuals with developmental disabilities and family members; and representatives of state agencies, non-governmental agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
